They asked him to move? From public space? They didn't want him holding up an inappropriate sign? It's not their property. He was standing there exercising his 1st Amendment right just like everyone else. And you seem to be on the fence about the arrest.

I wouldn't stand by him.. I would have walked away... I mean, I don't hate the police.. but I would not be calling them pigs.. especially since I am Asian.. I would probably not protest anything unless I thought it was a very good cause.
