(70,700 posts)I remember when President OBAMA nominated him for something and wingnuts hounded him out and back then I didn't know anything about him and knee-jerked myself defending him.
What little I've bothered with about him ever since has not been good.

(9,958 posts)... I avoid him, but still like to know what he's saying. Interesting that he is still on CNN... I wonder when his $$$ contract is up and a $$$$ deal with FOX is considered.

I think he's a solid Democrat, but he tries too hard sometimes to seem "balanced". I'm not sure why, because it's not like Republicans will ever flock to watch him instead of Fox News, OAN or one of their other far-right lie machines.

(3,301 posts)For his supposed liberalism on prison reform. The lecture wasn't on prison reform, but on, you know, being moderate. He went on and on about how Trump cared even if he wasn't perfect "by any means", and being moderate means giving credit where credit is due....
Jones gets a lot of credit because his mien is so civil, but he made clear that meant giving all sorts of tolerance to the most uncivil man in the country.
