It just occurred to me that maybe a government program like the CCC, which focused on conservation and improving parks might be adapted to enlisting people who want to work in the jobs we need filled now for a decent wage, benefits, and a chance to get training for a better future might be a possibility.
I have seen reports lately that National Guard and other military entities are being used to help in hospitals, so I'm thinking of public service.
It is possible the media is exaggerating the number of vacancies, but who knows? In case they aren't, get your ideas out there. Maybe something will work
**I was thinking about this idea. It would be another government subsidy, to underwrite the corps, but take it away from the corporate welfare we hear about. If the government is going to underwrite, let it be people, not companies.
