Senator Ted Cruz appeared to defend the right to do the Nazi salute, saying it’s “free speech,” after it was reported that a parent at an Ohio school board meeting did the salute in response to a request to put on a mask. MSNBC’s Chief Legal Correspondent Ari Melber explains that while it is legally accurate that a salute by itself is First Amendment speech, Cruz is willfully ignoring the issue of rising hate and illegal incidents of violence. If they don’t get airtime saying what the crowd has been hearing for the last week(s) or so they become irrelevant. Kennedy said something about the White House and the School Board Association working together (this to the AG who literally is apart from everything) as “Well as we KNOW....”. I looked into it - yes there was communication of course but RW media have extrapolated into full fledged collusion. Spin/propaganda becomes truth and is then repeated over and over until THAT can be extrapolated for airtime and deadline requirements.
