specific programmes, especially Family and Medical Leave, plus dental and vision coverage expansion, tuition free community college, and the prescription drug pricing negotiation, in order to try and sell it.

Now the obstructionist Manchin and Sinema have kneecapped Biden and the rest of the party by stripping all of those big central parts of his campaign and governing agenda out.

major positive social aspects to be critical for both public awareness and to hold obstructionist politicians accountable.

For everything there is a season and I don't believe there is any going back at this point in regards to social awareness.

4 weeks (which was already a big drop down from 12) of Paid Family/Medical Leave in. No clue what happened, as Manchin said he was ok with 4 weeks (that is where that number came from) and then BOOM, he turned on a dime and said nope, sorry, pull it all out.

Meanwhile, Sinema, who has been whingeing on for months about the net cost being too high, turns around and successfully demands that over $400 billion in funding be ripped out (the prescription drug savings), plus billions more in funding from certain tax raises (leaving, as a result, many of the odious Trump tax cuts intact).

No wonder dozens of congress people do not trust those 2 enough to vote for the BIF without an ironclad signed agreement on the BBB.

I believe that and the prescription drug price negotiation if included would end up bucking most historic trends and result in a Democratic landslide in 2022 and for that matter probably 2024.

paid medical leave could be brought up in a separate bill with enough bi-partisan support.

I don't believe it to be a probability but I wouldn't entirely eliminate it.

McConnell filibuster it in the Senate, I believe the Rethugs will pay a heavy political price in 2022 for both House and Senate races subject to Democratic candidates running aggressively on it.

Bowing and backpedaling away from the fossil fuel loonies and big Pharma zombies is not a good look. No more rope-a-dope, it’s time to come back fighting.

I haven’t heard ONE commentator mention the 50 gQp senators and 200+ House members who have been STONEWALLING every move forward. ZERO help or cooperation from them. But “BLAME THE PROGRESSIVES “ for not having power over sinema and manchin. How fucking absurd.

Ratings whores....ALL of them.
