- *WATCH* CBS News Mornings, Jan. 31, 2020. The growing gap between rich and poor Americans is one of the U.S.s biggest challenges, with the top 1% controlling more wealth now than at any time in the last 50 years.
A recent survey found that over half the country thinks its a problem, though most people might not know exactly what wealth inequality looks like. Tony Dokoupil speaks to Americans to see if they know what their share of the pie looks like.
~ A visual graphic of the shrinking US Middle Class in the last 30-40 years would also be effective and easy to do.
