(3,112 posts)Romney did NOT roast himself. Making jokes about himself not being a drinker and about being rich? Meantime he slammed Obama with nasty, sarcastic barbs about his policies.
Obama took some gentle jibes at Romney's wealth, Ryan's b.s. marathon claim and made a crack about Clint Eastwood yelling at chairs...and the rest of the time he made fun of his first debate performance, or otherwise poked fun at himself and Biden. He was good natured and very self deprecating.
Romney is a total douchebag, Obama is a total class act. What else is new, huh?

(36,974 posts)Following the conclusion of GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romneys address to the Alfred Smith Dinner in New York City on Thursday night, President Barack Obama took to the stage to deliver his light-hearted jabs at himself and at his opponent. The president joked about the election, he took jovial swipes at his opponent and even poked fun at MSNBC host Chris Matthews. -snip-

(20,546 posts)I began watching and thought okay, he's awkward but not doing so bad. But then it just got relentless and mean-spirited. He really does come across as someone who is vindictive and nasty under that smirk. There is never any laughter in his eyes.
