Lawrence O'Donnell: A Single Sentence Can Ruin A Campaign - The Last Word - MSNBC

Anat Shenker-Osorio and Stuart Stevens join Lawrence O’Donnell to discuss how comments made by candidates during two critical governors campaigns hurt Terry McAuliffe in Virginia, who lost his race, and Phil Murphy in New Jersey, who won his race. They also discuss how Democrats can push back against the Republican culture wars ahead of the 2022 midterms. Aired on 11/03/2021.

Dean’s mic was too hot for the room. He was shouting, but the incorrect amplification for the room and news feeds made him sound like he was shrieking like a banshee, whatever that is. 😂

My mother always said that, I gotta look it up in case it’s offensive.

Regardless, even technical problems can inflict grave damage.

either a woman who died in childbirth, or a woman who was murdered.
they watch over their families- warn them of danger, and give them news.

the murdered ones are the screamers. they haunt their murderers, but since they dont have bodies, all they can do is howl at them.

have stories in my family about the banshee.

I.E. "He's only being himself &quot referring to TLG, Cawthorn, Abbott, or any other outrageous RW Gopper). A subset of which is likewise reserved for outrageous RW women like Beobert, MTG, and Caribou Barbie. They are treated by the press as "colorful expressions of American political life" rather than the toxic, pathological personalities they are.

and the 'analysts' never even factor it

james (it's the enconomy stupid - no, it's the radio stoopid ) carville is a perfect eg of a dumbass intellectual analyst who failed dems for decades to ever go after republican radio - who goes on and blames jayapal instead of manchin and tells dems to stop being 'WOKE' is a great eg of a failed (what's a radio) analyst who lost so many no-brainer elections he should never be asked on anywhere but fox

'woke' is like CRT and a shitload of RW buzzphrases and concepts that were spotted by the think tank republican PR pros and interpreted and spun from collective asses of a few hundred lying fascist racist sex-on-the-wrong-brain assholes - usually started from limbaugh's ass on 600 stations - because idiots like carville never saw it (in his best mushmouth - "why would ah listen to da idiots on the radio?&quot . the dumbfuck dittoheads screaming "CRT!" at schoolboards are the same who would scream "OBAMACARE!" at town halls.

those dumbshit 'analysts' still never even poll for it

and fox who everyone yells about , can't be locally coordinated like those radio stations (like using particular local anecdotes - out of context, exaggerated, etc)

liberals, progressives, the 'left' have the most to lose by ignoring republican talk radio because that constant ubiquitous buzz pushes the whole country right on all major issues - like schools, environment, immigration, economy, and enables assholes like manchin, who used to be the republicans before republican radio

if liberals would boycott the crap out of it and stop letting our universities and pro sport teams support hundreds of republican radio stations without complaint, media would notice, and the ad industry would have to start breaking up the monopoly or lose all that ad money

make this alternate reality shit as plain as day. say it- you wanted to ban that book because a black woman wrote, and because it is true. and it's ugly history that we white wash. that's what that flag y'all love means.
let's settle up w the past, and live out the promise of this country.

it's all a fucking waste, ya morons. the war ended 150 yrs ago.
move the fuck on.
