N.J. Governor Phil Murphy wins re-election and gives victory speech 2021

Gov. Phil Murphy has won the New Jersey governor’s election, according to the Associated Press. The tight race against Republican Jack Ciattarelli was called Wednesday night, and Ciattarelli has not conceded. Murphy’s the first Democrat in 44 years to win a second term in New Jersey. This is his victory speech given on Nov. 3, 2021 in Asbury Park, N.J.

But on second reflection, it is obvious that this candidate cannot - absolutely cannot - go there.

If he starts with "rigged election", 'stolen votes', 'crooked Murphy' the Republican loser will become known, fairly or unfairly, as

Cheatarelli! The term would doom the GOP because the term fits so well.

5. What a great speech!!!

In his TV interviews he comes across as a tad bland, not quite bubbling over with enthusiasm or self-confidence. But what a track record, what a great speech delivered at rapid pace, I hardly think he used a teleprompter, and holding the state for America to see. A guy with ambition for higher office? Dunno, but Democrats must be proud of this administration. He hit all the right notes perfectly.
