Why did Russia do what it did in 2016? What did they hope to attain? What was the payoff to them? Their economy is small. So what was going on? We still don't know.

We wanted democratic elections with a choice of candidates, private banking and private industry for private investment, equities markets, a labor market with private sector jobs, accountability in Poland in particular. We put considerable resources into those goals. The USSR had very different ideas.

And is most likely working with China on this operation.
