Related: About this forumJanuary 6 committee to hold Mark Meadows in contempt (CNN)
The House select committee investigating the January 6 riot informed Mark Meadows that they have "no choice" but to advance criminal contempt proceedings against him given that former President Donald Trump's former chief of staff has decided to no longer cooperate with the panel, according to a new letter from committee Chairman Bennie Thompson (D-MS).

(1,157 posts)3. Time to stop fooling around, use Inherent Contempt
This is utterly ridiculous to have the power of inherent contempt when the likes of Bannon, Meadows, Clark and Stone just blatantly thumb their noses at testifying to their roles leading up to 1/6. It is no wonder that the process is completely toothless. Use the power you have to lock these traitors up now.
