It's incredibly frustrating that DOJ hasn't stepped up - yet. But we do know that during TFG's term, even major departments, like DOJ and State, were decimated. Half of the departments were led by "acting" heads since none of TFG's inappropriate picks would ever be approved by Congress. DOJ and State were affected the most. There were resignations by experienced and veteran employees and those are departments that depend on continuity and experience. And of course new applicants were few. It's going to take a generation for those departments to return to ideal effectiveness no matter how experienced President Biden's appointments are.
