Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said he is watching what is unfolding with the House select committee investigation into January 6 and that it will be interesting to reveal all the participants who were involved.

(6,182 posts)He always looking to see which way the wind is blowing. If he thinks he can benefit from the investigation, he'll support it.
If he thinks supporting it is a political liability, he'll oppose it. The idea of law and order and protecting the Republic isn't all that important to him, only what advantage he can gain from it.
However, I know he doesn't like Trump, and would love to see him politically destroyed. So, we'll see how his latest tact plays out.

I cannot understand for the life of me how the fifth poorest state keeps returning this lifetime corporate servant to the U.S. Senate. Watching the crushed, destitute small towns from the tornado this week I wanted to scream, "do you really think Mitch and Rand Paul give a damn about you?!"

(4,473 posts)If the Democrats had stolen the vote, they would also have ensured that those two would have lost their senate seats. Thus, they expect us to accept a conspiracy where the conspirators are simultaneously very good and very bad at switching votes in the same election.
