(42,862 posts)I'm sure the video editor had fun making it... but if TLP gets a reputation for making this type of silly gag-reel video, then it undercuts the important work and messaging that they've done in the past. (The voice-over at the end was garbled and unintelligible too... could that have been this video's saving-grace? Was it muffled because of my poor hearing?)

(97 posts)I believe the Lincoln Project is hoping this is seen by the conservative base. It speaks to them in their own silly gag reel language, appealing to their simplistic, knee-jerk nature. I'm sure the conservative base really believes Larry hit Moe in the head with a hammer.

(42,862 posts)It's not clever or funny. It's just silly and self-indulgent on their behalf. Obviously, not a lot of thought went into this, and it diminishes TLP as a source of thoughtful, truthful, hard-hitting, and blunt/direct messaging.
It is not clever, funny or worth the time to watch. And as you say, it diminishes TLP.

(97 posts)Remember the purple Band-Aids at the Republican Nation Convention back when Kerry was running for President? The message to them in their own language is "Tucker is an idiot". If you just called him an idiot in plain English, they'd go defensive.
