Related: About this forumNew Georgia Voting Law Restricts Ability To Vote Absentee - MSNBC
Eugene Daniels and Atlanta Journal-Constitution Georgia Government Reporter Mark Niesse join Joe Fryer to discuss new voting restrictions passed in Georgia since the 2020 election, and Democrats ongoing fight to pass federal voting rights legislation in Congress. As a result of Georgias new voting law, it's more likely that people will be voting in person just because it's not as easy to vote absentee this year or in 2022 as it was in 2020, says Niesse. Shoring up federal voting rights is the only way to make sure that what's happening in these states doesn't stop people from voting, especially black and brown folks," said Daniels. Vice President Kamala Harris also addressed this in her recent interview on "Face the Nation." Aired on 12/28/2021.

I couldn't agree more, and it's not just Georgia, they are working on this in the majority of states

and the law was originally passed in 2006 to the benefit of republicans. Once those dirty "colored" people used it they had to change it.

Will ensure that THEIR voters get to vote absentee. Probably twice.

Without that, all the other laws and ambitions of keeping our democracy are threatened. Biden should be on voting rights before worrying about anything else.
