"Time to Kill" with a 22-year-old BETTY WHITE

This was a post-WW II armed forces film and White's first gig as an actress. It also contains 24-year-old DeForest Kelly's ("Bones" ) first acting gig and George Reeves (the original "Superman." )

1. Very interesting film

I don't know if it accurately reflects the mood of soldiers returning from WWII, but it suggests that a lot of them were really uneducated, and disdainful of books.

The next couple of generations could have done pretty well in a post war economy. It might explain why so many of their grandsons feel displaced. They assumed they could prosper with relatively little education. That horse left the barn a long time ago. I'm thinking these are our MAGAts.
