DOJ Press Release Promises to Hold Accountable All Those "Responsible" for Capitol Attack - GK

The Department of Justice just issued a press release about the status of the investigation and prosecution of those who attacked the US Capitol on January 6. Although DOJ rules prohibited disclosure of who might next be charged, the press release seems to leave some bread crumbs about the sweep and scope of the insurrection investigation.

already serving long prison terms for their treachery? Or Bannon going on trial?

More much more to come…aren’t you happy?

4. I feel the same. I also wonder if these weak sentences aren't part of some "compromise".

The sentencing should be a life destroying level of harsh, and terrifying to any other domestic enemies thinking about stepping out of line.

Any future attacks on the United States like Jan 6th should end in horrific mass casualties among the terrorists. That would certainly take some strain off of the courts.

I've taken a lot of heat over my views on this, and I don't care. Traitors deserve loss of freedom forever, or death. I'd prefer the latter.

The lives of domestic enemies of the US have absolutely no value.

terms or no jail, probation instead, after full review by a court of law,….no, sir, none are deserving of death in any country.

You joined here at noon.

Those "panzie ass prison sentences" are felony convictions that will haunt them the rest of their lives...for jobs, loans and housing.

7. This is a funky new twist for the list! We now get "promises" from press releases!

I guess when the press release turns out to just be yanking chains, we can all resolve to never vote for "press release."

I think the sentences were a bit light here or there, depends on the judge, but together quite appropriate.
