The Department of Justice just issued a press release about the status of the investigation and prosecution of those who attacked the US Capitol on January 6. Although DOJ rules prohibited disclosure of who might next be charged, the press release seems to leave some bread crumbs about the sweep and scope of the insurrection investigation.

(6,011 posts)The sentencing should be a life destroying level of harsh, and terrifying to any other domestic enemies thinking about stepping out of line.
Any future attacks on the United States like Jan 6th should end in horrific mass casualties among the terrorists. That would certainly take some strain off of the courts.
I've taken a lot of heat over my views on this, and I don't care. Traitors deserve loss of freedom forever, or death. I'd prefer the latter.
The lives of domestic enemies of the US have absolutely no value.

(7,839 posts)terms or no jail, probation instead, after full review by a court of law, .no, sir, none are deserving of death in any country.

Those "panzie ass prison sentences" are felony convictions that will haunt them the rest of their lives...for jobs, loans and housing.
