(22,670 posts)And nothing. Evil wins in the end. There is no justice, except for the justice against the little-guy. There's no happy sunset ending. Crime pays. The GOP and TFG are all the proof anyone ever needs about that.

(13,903 posts)but once that happens...what are they are going to due to an old, rich, white guy, who hasn't been convicted of anything before?
Fine the crap out of him....maybe some home detention at Mar a Quid Pro Quo.
I don't know that I care much about what they do to him as long as it prevents that crazy SOB from running for President.

(5,130 posts)Just ask any POC from any time before... well, any time. Just ask any protestor during the late 60's. I still say that if the situation had been reversed and it had been anything other than pasty-white, middle-class Muricans there would have been a bloodbath. And, the general tone would have been that they deserved it. Yet, here we are pandering to 'decorum' and 'the high road'. We all watched this happen. This was not some fourth person story that we all read about in some foreign paper. We all saw it unfold live! And, still we watch as that orange gibbon and his family of deer ticks continue to walk freely and continue to spew lies that have already been debunked. Repeatedly. However, I feel that Chris is dreaming when he says that 'no one is above the law'. Rich white people have been above the law since this country's inception. What makes you think that this has changed?
