That doesn’t mean that American Democracy isn’t at risk of being dismantled, it just means there won’t be two armies facing off against each other. With a nuclear power, that is a logistical impossibility.

You could have a military coup, or extended domestic terrorism, like the “troubles” in Ireland (which was NOT a civil war), but there will not be another civil war. For all the bluster, nobody is going to secede. This time, the confederates want to take over the country, not split off from it.
