The detailed inner workings and operations of neo-Nazi organization Patriot Front have come to light after a massive leak from their chat servers. The exposed communications show coordination with their leader Thomas Rousseau to deface murals and monuments to Black lives across the United States, and intimate struggles to bolster morale through group activities like hiking and camping.
This release includes more than 400 gigabytes of data published by Unicorn Riot. Ostensibly private, unedited videos and direct messages reveal a campaign to organize acts of racial hatred while indoctrinating teenagers into national socialism (Nazism). The information stands as a chilling reminder that fascist organizing thrives in secrecy and obscurity...
This release is now made available to the public at vault.unicornriot.ninja. Volunteers upgraded Unicorn Riots DiscordLeaks platform to host 55,249 RocketChat messages and file attachments, allowing the public to search the cache and inspect how fascists try to operate discreetly at their most inner levels.

(6,265 posts)Amerika has always had waxing, waning race relations and ideological differences, sometimes as experienced now on 1/6 to present. TPOSFG has ignited simmering racist...fascist...hate toward all non-white or those willingly submissive to the fascists and their claims to white supremacy overall. Seen too many Asian, Hispanic and AA faces in these groups. For me to not add their submissiveness to white supremacy hate would be unforgivable to me.
American democracy is in for a challenge from the white nationalists-supremacists.

(3,576 posts)The GOP drank some serious poison when they adopted the Bigots and Religious fanatics into their party in the 1960s.
Anyone could have shared with them that a constant exposure to race hating was contagious, especially to the young and inexperienced. Its hard for some people to push back against the daily doses of hate, but after LBJs passing of the Civil Rights Acts - the bigots joined the GOP. And, now years later, we have three generations of GOP members that have been indoctrinated with their beliefs of racial supremacy.
Barry Goldwater tried to warn the GOP - that the religious fundamentalist were too extreme, not willing to compromise - compromise which is necessary to govern, but that was another group that was a group of voters that they wanted.
They have them now, the Bigots and Religious extremist - and in a diverse nation, if they get in power, how will they govern I wonder? With bayonets and soldiers in every state - or by what we have seen, misinformation. Where does this lead?

(47,549 posts)catered to the racists and fundamentalists just to get their votes. Now years later the bill has come due. There is a price to pay if you compromise your principles and lie to attain power. There is no going back. The deplorables belong to them now or actually, THEY belong to the deplorables. Should have seen it coming.

(36,128 posts)Amen. "Should have seen it coming" only comes with having a shred of a moral compass.

(47,549 posts)to see beyond the next election. Apparently consequences are for other people.
They only have a moral compass when it serves their objectives and even then, it is a fake moral compass.

(36,128 posts)They're not fit to govern. Those who are indicted should be made by the courts to forfeit their government pensions and social security. In aiding and abetting sedition they have both broken their oaths of office and embezzled the American taxpayers.
PatSeg
(47,549 posts)They are servants of the people and they all took an oath. There should be accountability.
Most of them are really more carnival barkers than statesmen. Maybe they'd qualify to do Popeil infomercials on late night cable. "Wait, if you act now, we'll throw in an extra whatzit for free! Operators are standing by to take your call."

(51,129 posts)They went to Florida and checked into hotels. In the morning an envelope appeared under the door with cash and instructions. They did not need to know who was paying them, but they knew what to do until the next bundle of cash was slipped under their doors. That's the extent of their foresight.

(768 posts)The apathy and laziness of the American people is what may doom our democracy in the end. When half the voting public does not even bother to vote in a Presidential, like in 2016 that is an enormous problem.
Plus the fact that fewer and fewer Americans want to go into politics and civil service, they'd rather enjoy their sweet lifestyle and their electronic toys and let someone else do the heavy lifting and engage in confrontation with our enemy.
PatSeg
(47,549 posts)but the American people have become complacent and comfortable, accepting the myth of American exceptionalism without putting any effort into it, not even bothering to vote.

(15,314 posts)Here and probably everywhere.
The English hated the French and the Germans and the Dutch and the Irish. The Irish hated the Italians. The Whites have tried to dominate over the Native Americans, the Blacks, the Hispanics.
What amazes me is that there are "apparently" some periods where people can go about their business without molesting, or being molested by others.
I'm hoping the evolutionary process is still at work, weeding out those that don't deserve to have a square foot of dirt to occupy.

(17,937 posts)to see people with southern and eastern European surnames associated with white racist groups. I well remember a day when racists hated them almost as much as black folks. Same with Catholics. The hate and vitriol over Kennedy's 1960 presidential run didn't just disappear. Evangelicals, the core of white, southern racists, haven't changed their views on Catholicism.
Mr.Bill
(24,311 posts)but they seem to be okay with lots of Catholics on the SCOTUS.

On edit. Just thought of Romney in 2012. I thought a Mormon on the Republican ticket might cause consternation among evangelicals. Forgot about their ability to split hairs in micron thickness. Growing up evangelical, I'd was taught from a young age that Mormons were the spawn of hell. But, apparently that's OK if they're a means to an end.

And to be honest, because of their deeds and words, I hate them back. It is a vicious circle.

The rule of law. Threaten violence to take power. Intimidate and suppress opposition or sometimes intentionally draw us out into the streets to cause harm to us and then blame the violence ON US because they hide their faces like cowards.

(36,128 posts)Trying to save democracy. All human activity looks the same from historic distance, and yet we're facing the end of democracy and the beginning of never having a correct prediction about Earth once cascading climate disasters hit full force.
I, for one, am for up front attention paid to creating a civilized, verdant and peaceful Earth, and won't accept the way it's always been. It's too late to hold on to the past. We're hurling headlong into the end of life on the planet as we know it. We won't have time to remember what was for centuries, but will have to try and spend everything we have to save our descendants' futures.
As I've said elsewhere, we must regulate corporate insurgency in our government and planet.
Because, as writer/researchers like Ibram Kendi, Thom Hartmann and Congressman Sheldon Whitehouse now tell us, US settlers were not supposed to know that the American project was really a corporate project of European monarchs, given that
-- the U.S. Constitution was written to define human personhood for whites, 3/5 personhood for Blacks, and no equality under the law for anyone not white and male;
-- corporate financed slave trade was the commodification of black bodies to build agricultural dominance worldwide;
-- eleven of the first twelve presidents were enslavers;
-- public education was never written into the US Constitution as a fundamental right.
Institutionally and by design, "American" settlers were not to know their real standing until after the Civil War and WWI.
They were sold for centuries on "this land is my land" blah blah culture, along with all the patriotic culture of fighting for some "crisis" when, every time, it was in the corporate interests for them to do so. We knew that when we said "corporate whores and their corporate wars" back in the 60's.
Blacks just got equality since 1965,
and US women -- 52% of the entire US population, no less -- have yet to even get the ERA passed!
You're right in providing context for the fact that the GOP doesn't care about democracy has long standing roots. However, now it's "nothing personal, just business." So if we think hard about our corporate history, the bought GOP's lack of commitment to democracy is really not surprising.
We've called them a wholly owned subsidiary of Big Corp for good reason. They'll even rewrite the Constitution in an Article V convention so they can finally win the corporate government that's been bought, bit by bit, for our entire lives. Yet we keep up the shock and outrage.
But we need to remember our side's claim: democracy means that there must still be HUMAN consent of the HUMANS governed.
Our lawyer wars are as important as the Fascist war of Spain. Its outcome will change the West.
