I was wondering if there was anyone targeting the Russian people with this kind of message. Specifically Russian mothers of military personnel.

I wonder if this can be disseminated and seen by a Russian audience.

I think that the Russian parental model is one many don't understand. It is not much like ours, only wealthy children were raised by their parents, for decades. Not sure if the practice is still ongoing but it used to be something you couldn't imagine.

In cities, like Moscow and industrial locations, people live/lived in apartments and their children often ended up in "homes" that were basically orphanages attended by doctors (most doctors in Russia are women or were a decade or so ago). Everything was communal, their clothing, toys, very few personal effects. There is/was great detachment on psychological level that is something many of us cannot comprehend. I learned all this from a friend who had been involved in setting up an adoption program between US and Russia right after the fall of USSR.

I wonder how those people raised that way are feeling about all this. I wonder how much attachment many mothers have with their children if they lived apart nearly their entire lives. At least, that's what thought sparked my comments.
