Skip to the -33 min mark. The longest standing ovation I have ever heard is after his speech.
"Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy today addressed a special session of European Union Parliament. Addressing the EU session in Ukrainian language, Zelenskyy delivered a few important takeaways:
- "We have proven our strength": "I dont read from paper, the paper phase is over, were dealing with lives. Without you Ukraine will be alone. We've proven our strength; were the same as you."

(10,053 posts)And the Ukrainian representative that spoke after him- it was quite something to see the optics behind him. I am still trying to compose myself after viewing this video. Thank you so much for posting it.

If we don't stand up, the US will fall.

(22,767 posts)I backed up the progress bar to the very beginning of the session. It's been very interesting learning about the individual political parties and listening to the representatives of each speak. From progressive to right wing, so far, they're all united in condemnation of Putin and support for Ukraine.
I was moved and inspired my the speech of Pres. of the EU Commission, Ursula von dee Leyen and reading some about her background. Also impressed by Roberta Metsola's opening speech to open the session, Pres. of the EU Parliament, from Malta.
Had to stop listening for a bit to get some things done, but just paused the live stream and will pick it up again where it left off.
