If Putin is trying to recreate the USSR, Georgia could be next. 
I was there when it was still Soviet Georgia - and there were statues of Stalin still standing all over. When I asked the reason I was told that Stalin was Georgian, not Russian. And they still hold him in esteem because "he killed so many Russians..."
