1. If Kyiv is encircled, new weaponry would attack from the outside. It wouldn't be inside Kyiv.

.

New stockpiles of Javelins would be used to destroy the tanks from outside.

But, in earlier reports, Ukraine was not attacking the stalled vehicles and tanks because they were not an immediate threat. They are attacking the immediate threats first.

2. Russia does not have enough troops in all of its army to fully enforce a siege on Kyiv.

Draw the circle too small, to cut down on the troops needed, and then it would be fighting in gritty urban settings where it is said you need 5 times the forces to get anything done.

Russia does not have much of a second echelon of troops or equipment, certainly not in place nearby in Russia.

which created the parked convoy north of Kyiv. They attacked lead vehicles to block the roads.

Meanwhile, inside Kyiv, there now are reports of fighting.

5. I have watched David Martin since the beginning of the war. He seems thoughtful and smart.

However, most of his dire predictions throughout this terrible invasion have not been accurate. I would not want to be in an armored vehicle or tank on the west side of Kyiv. I don't buy into his statement that running out of anti-tank and anti-aircraft weapons inside Kyiv due to it being surrounded prevents the weapons from being effective or dispersed to other locations within Ukraine. FWIW I am not a military analyst, but I have slept at a holiday-in express.
