(1,639 posts)It is a very small thing to do. If anyone has not seen this video, please watch and consider signing your name.
If this is a duplicate request, please accept my apology. Though, I will say that saving this person's life seems worth a second look.
Thanks.

(205,173 posts)I agree that it's extremely important - and it was likely overlooked in favor of breaking Ukraine news.

Not the Oliver's content isn't always worth watching, but this woman is scheduled to be executed on April 27, 2022. With everything going on in the world it is so easy to be overwhelmed. How much can any individual, ordinary person do to stop Putin, for instance?
But this petition is short fewer than 40,000 signatures. This person's life can be saved. The larger issues will still be with us and need to be addressed, but this one person doesn't have to die six weeks from now.
Please also keep in mind that this isn't some random opinion poll or petition that just sort of pops up when you wander the internet. The Innocence Project is a legitimate, well known organization. Go to the site, look over the basic facts of Melissa Lucio's case and please add your name to the petition. I withheld my mobile telephone number (not required) because I am weird and anti-social. I also live on disability and have very little money, so I didn't make a donation. But I did add my name because this person's life is worth stepping outside of my comfort zone.
Please join with me in doing this one small thing.
Thanks again.
