From what I've read, these planes are air-to-air, not air-to-ground design.

4. Any Fighter design aircraft can be used.........

In an Attack situation. In the United States we give the designation F for our fighter aircraft. For example F-4, F-14, F-15. All were designed as primarily Fighter aircraft. All were used in Bombing situations depending on the situation at the time, mostly the F-4 Phantom. During Vietnam the Phantom was used as a Bomber more often than not during close air support. So to think that because a Aircraft can only be used in a single situation is misleading.
