When they run out of big buildings, they'll target little buildings, then intact houses, then non intact houses.

Modern warfare breaks things and kills people. Expecting anything to be spared is foolish. It's not about avoiding civilian deaths, it's about wrecking everything in the name of capturing it.

I never, ever want to experience modern warfare. No one survives it mentally intact, even if they survive physically.
