Today it seems like the mood has changed and we will be at war very soon.

6. The confidence Russia would not use tools at its disposal strikes me as irrational.

Russia would not seek to match NATO in a conventional war because of course that wouldnt be effective. Here, asymmetrical warfare includes nuclear warfare, and possibly other nonconventional weapons.

I agree with his statements that a “limited” no fly zone is not workable. “No fly zone” always involved neutralizing opposing military assets and capacity.
