President Biden spoke with China's Xi Jinping Friday for nearly two hours about the war in Ukraine, and warned Xi against any possible Chinese support for Russia's invasion. Meanwhile, the astounding carnage persisted in Ukraine, with civilians becoming the main victims. Russian airstrikes hit near the Polish border as troops continued to target Kyiv. 4. Same with my Babci, she was only 15, traveled by ship with a friend, went through Ellis Island

She was the eldest in her family, she'd had a twin who died when they were 7. She sent money, clothing and food back to her family for the rest of her life, but she never had the opportunity to go back.
