The Senate Judiciary Committee hearings for Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson begin Monday, March 21. There is no excuse for her confirmation to just sail through - but we know how that goes...

so with goodwill. I imagine they're very good people.

It's the use of the word "Rally" which means to come together in a mass meeting of people making a political protest or showing support for a cause like #DictatorPutin's disinformation rally today in Moscow.

Judge Jackson has not organized or participated in any MASS meetings for any purpose. NONE. However, she has meet with individual senators. I believe 43 or 44.

It is true the Democratic elite is rallying around Judge Jackson on social media. it's also true Judge Jackson has absolutely nothing to do with that support.

She's a BLACK woman and a DARK SKIN black woman LIKE ME so it matters how we use words to describe her actions. We must be pristine and exact and very careful.

I took it to mean that her nomination gave Democrats hope in these difficult and dark days.

about making Judge Jackson the initiator of action instead of the Democrats.

Will "rally" - meaning support - around her nomination. Especially since her responsible and compassionate views will give a bit more balance to the Court.
