1. They'll be in a weapons parts factory by monday.

Putin's own war camps.

He'll threaten to kill them all if NATO doesn't step away & Ukraine doesn't submit to his land grab.

2. The old work camps have been falling into ruins since the 80s

and there's nothing left of them, lumber and anything else useful having been robbed out by the local people to patch and upgrade their homes and barns (the central government sure wouldn't do it for them). One near the town of Perm has been partially preserved as a monument to the millions of slave laborers who worked, starved, and died under Czars, Lenin, Stalin and Khrushchev.

So the infrastructure for such a system is no longer there.

It didn't matter if they were serfs or political prisoners or whatever the Avars and Mongols called them, Russia has always been a slave state. This is what they've been trying to break out of and this is what Putin's unbelievably massive theft of that country's wealth has put on hold.

So I think there will likely be POW camps under canvas. Sending them to the old camps isn't a plan.
