Yup, from what we've seen, pushback from Kavanaugh's hearings appears to be what's happening Rhiannon12866 Mar 2022 #2

If I were a senator, I would vote for her for her name alone! I understand that KBJ is eminently qualified for a seat on SCOTUS in every single way - unlike one of Trump's nominees, who was probably the polar opposite. I think that the past farce of Kavanaugh's confirmation hearing and the monumental double standard it highlights in our society, might just prove to be a complicating factor in the hearings. Republicans have that huge embarrassment in their recent past, so they will probably fight all the harder to block KBJ's confirmation. The question is: Can impartial justice prevail in the confirmation of Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court?

Well, that and the fact she was nominated by a Democratic president. But that's all they have, her qualifications and record are impeccable. But they're probably pushing back against that as well since she knows and will follow the law as opposed to a political agenda. However, it also looks like the Democrats have the votes so the pushback is just for show. *sigh*
