between the ex-prosecutors and the new Manhattan DA.

Why is the new DA so reluctant to charge trump when the ex-prosecutors are convinced of trump's guilt.

The new DA is going to have problems because of this. Many of us said this weeks ago when the resignations happened.

It's been well over a year - not to mention that it was already proved that he was guilty of all that he was impeached for (twice!). David Cay Johnston came out with a pretty detailed and convincing case - not that it would necessarily land him in jail, but would certainly bankrupt him and shut down his business(es). And, from the outside, we can't know yet of everything else that he's likely guilty of - but he's been a liar and a cheater for his entire life, so we can be sure that there's a lot more.

I'll do my part by voting, but there will be many Democrats & Independents who simply will feel dejected and let down by the lack of accountability. Those who expected something to happen (I didn't), will not be inspired, and most likely won't turn out to vote.

That's my guess anyway.

And all the while, TFG, and his enablers and cronies, will be laughing and thinking of what illegal things they can do next.

I'm not too worried about my senator - Chuck Schumer - but when it comes to my deplorable congressperson, she absolutely needs to be replaced, Elise Stefanik.

It's going to be extremely difficult to GOTV, when party members and Independents, are uninspired by what's transpired since TFG left office. I truly believe that a large part of the wave that gave Democrats control in 2020, was due to those who were hoping for accountability, for the Criminal In Chief.

Conversely, that same lack of accountability will energize the other side, who will realize that they can not only get away with the Shit they pulled on 1/6/21 and before, but they can try new shit going forward, without fear of repercussions.

Elise is a darling of the right. They're going to put enough money behind her, that she's not going to lose in November. It always seems like when there's someone as despised and able to be hated, like her, they always still manage to win. Puts her in the Jordan, MTG, Gaetz, Nunes category, but I wish you well in your efforts.

And in Mary Trump's second book, she talks about "backlash" - that Obama was the backlash for Bush* and that TFG was the backlash for Obama. And the more heroic things Biden does, according to her theory, there's going to be backlash. If Biden ran for a second term, we might be able to put it off, but even though he's doing one hell of a job, I can't see him running again. He's more than put in his time.

And I have never understood how we ended up with a horror show like Stefanik. We got redistricted shortly before she ran and replaced a long time moderate Democrat who retired. He chose a successor and I went to the meeting to meet the guy and I was impressed - but he inexplicably lost. But ever since she first took office, there have been protests at her local headquarters and she has refused to publicize her schedule ahead of time since she knows protesters will show up. And then there was this, several billboards all over the district. But she's only gotten worse..

This was the one I used to see on my way home - apparently one of many:

Garland will awaken any day now with indictments, lmao.
When the rot is this deep you wonder if there are two sides.
