1. Widespread and indiscriminate targeting of innocent civilians

Including those seeking refuge or taking shelter. Laying siege to cities in order subject inhabitants to starvation, after those affected had survived the initial artillery barrages. That is what has been taking place. If those actions do not meet the criteria of genocide, then what does?

2. The Russians are clearly of the mindset that there is NO separate Ukrainian culture

and they intend to impose this philosophy on Ukraine.

They may not set up gas chambers... but I suspect that, should they "win"... they will populate the Siberian Gulags with anyone in Ukraine (or in Russia) who dares to suggest that an independent Ukraine ever existed.
