like Century 21 for example. Now I see signs for Berkshire Hathaway and Sotheby's on many of the available properties.
It makes me wonder if they are moving into the rental market as well as sales.

This would be a very lucrative market in the US for those vulture capitalists.

I think this started in the 2008/9 housing crisis and won't ever recover.

I deliver meals to very low-income people who are being forced out of their homes by realtor-speculators. Rents are going up by double. There's no other available low-income housing. This is a crisis, both locally and nationally.

in this country is fast becoming, or already is a crisis. The increases in prices are not sustainable for the average American. If prices and rents are not brought under control the homeless problem we witness today will appear to be minor in the future.

Making the hope of homeownership less and less accessible for more and more people. That's capitalism for ya. Those with capital gobble up every valuable commodity right down to genetically altering and patenting seeds (known as biopiracy, isn't that sick).

I get regular texts from real estate companies expressing interest in buying my home. My response is always "Never contact me again real estate predator".

the number of single family homes that can be purchased by non-habitants help? Home ownership was a main source of wealth for past generations. Now people cannot even afford rent in crappy buildings or areas.
