Apologies to all those who credibly maintain that the DOJ should act deliberately, without haste, and with appropriate probity, but the truth in this case is that they’re not going to do a damn thing to hold Trump accountable.

We can all see the rot inside the Republican Party, a rot that has infected conservatives of all stripes. Well, the legions of attorneys within the DOJ are mostly conservative in inclination. After all, why stand to worship at the bar if not to conserve the principals of law? That’s the crack in the armor and the rot has seeped in to get them to.

Laws don’t matter if you don’t enforce them.

(BTW, I don’t want to hear this bullshit about, “they’ve got to have an iron clad case before they can bring charges.” That’s just an excuse, more about the lawyers ‘art’ than any real principal.
