Clearly Putin has shifted to a pound them into submission by indirect fire rather than direct combined arms fire and maneuver with armor and infantry as the Ukrainians have been beating the Russkies at that latter game. I wonder if we know how much of the long range munitions are fired from inside Ukraine and how much is being fired from Belarus and Russia proper? Crossing those borders, even in Ukrainian self defense, gives Putin more PR leverage at home and would be hard to manage. And munitions debris turning up in RU with US, UK or other western nation markings would not be good.
