i've gotten to be a real fan, and wondered about him.
interesting story.

1. I would like to know more about the conviction and story behind it.

he was involved in some human smuggling and I can see multiple sides to that so am open to hearing the story. otherwise yes really like most of his perspective on things, and it fits well with the kind of subversive ag/community building you and I are both involved in.

about why you shouldnt just plant a tree for yourself, but you should get some neighbors to do it too. make an event of it, and see how it can bind those people together to watch them grow together, and someday share the fruits.

but before it was I printed a pdf off of it. Readers Digest version, the charge was "Alien smuggling." He got sentenced to 41 months but served less (good behavior).

He doesn't say so, and he also does not apologize for anything. But I take the story to mean the aliens he was smuggling were refugees and he was smuggling them to safety.

5. I was a bit skeptical at first and he is a good guy, good perspective on things.

I like the way he has a circuitous way of explanation..
"People going down a bad road" He doesn't say "Q ANON" or NEO NAZI or white supremacist but you know what he is talking about with out talking about it...

he just seems so kind, sympathetic to how people get sucked in.
seems like a guy who can tell you to your face that you are an idiot, but do it in a way that you start asking questions instead of being pissed off.
