Judge Jackson Moves Toward History As GOP 'Cartoon Characters' Brace For Epic Loss - The Beat MSNBC

After the Senate Judiciary Committee vote on whether to advance Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s Supreme Court nomination to the full Senate deadlocked, the nomination will soon be voted on by the entire Senate. A simple majority of 51 votes is needed to confirm Jackson to the Court. MSNBC’s Ari Melber reports on the historic nomination and the GOP’s attacks on Judge Jackson. Aired on 04/04/2022.

Judge Jackson not only makes history, but she's simply the most qualified in a whole lot of years, maybe ever.

which is true. The saddest thing, however, is that the most qualified currently on the court is the one she is replacing. No oneelse even comes close.

That's not sad for her, but it is sad for the Court.

It's a little known fact that the concept of the courts as a third branch of government was inspired by the Haudenosaunee system, which had a kind of supreme court comprising the female elders of the tribe. I'm not opposed to having any men on our Sepureme Court (provided they are qualified), but I wold like to see us get closer to our original inspiration.

SCOTUS was always the branch of government that was "unimpeachable," apparently not anymore. The most recent appointees weren't close to qualified - and one other is severely compromised.

Good grief! And we had to listen to the ridiculous "questioning" that they put Judge Jackson through...
