1. Zelenskyy has risen to the occasion

but we need to remember two things: first, it's the people on the ground who are fighting such a tough and smart campaign and second, he'll be remembered as a great leader only if he knows when it's time to go, in 10 years or a little less. If he doesn't, he risks turning into Lukashenko or worse.

As for now, he's been very effective as the face of Ukraine.

As for being the guy on the other end of that infamous but "perfect" phone call, at the time I had an image of him holding the receiver out at arm's length and being totally flabbergasted by what he was hearing, signaling his translators because he just couldn't believe the sheer gall of the man. The intervening time has not changed my opinion.
