I LOVE that our VP, historic in her own right, gave her stationary and a homework assignment to our two AA Democratic Senators to document the confirmation to a young woman in their lives, of our first AA woman to SCOTUS. This is the good kind of history!

i talk a lot about the fact that as a little girl, growing up in the 60's, i had a rare dad who told me repeatedly, like monthly, that i could be 'anything i wanted to be, including a doctor.'
iow, he was a feminist before it was much of a thing, and he made me one while i was 3' tall.

knowing even he wouldnt have thought that if i hadnt been a little white girl, well, i'm not crying, you're crying.
