Whenever a Republican talks about 'fixing the deficit', ask them why their solution is to cut programs that benefit the poor and cut taxes for the wealthy. Are they cutting programs for the poor to reduce the deficit or are they cutting program for the poor to make up for the loss of revenue from their tax cuts to the rich? The answer is pretty obvious: They're complaining about spending and cutting programs for the poor to offset the loss of revenue from their tax cuts to the wealthy. Keep in mind this does nothing to fix the deficit.
