Related: About this forumKevin McCarthy Says Leaks Are Just Attempt To Divide Republicans - Ring of Fire
In a meeting with other members of the House Republican caucus on Wednesday, Kevin McCarthy defended what he said on the recordings that have been leaked this week, and claimed that the leaks themselves were just attempts to divide the Republican Party. Even if that were the motive, it wouldn't change the fact that McCarthy actually said the things that he said and expressed legitimate concerns about the stability of his own members. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses this.

I still remember the way that the press treated President Carter. After he promised to always be truthful, the press was relentless, parsing every statement he made, looking for some hint of untruth. And now we have a party that thrives on its lies...

The media always seems to behave like middle schoolers throwing spitballs in the back of class.
