On the bright side Oliver didn't blame Hillary for this one.

(487 posts)Did the points he make not happen? In 50 years, have the Democrats acted to codify Roe when they had the chance? Or is simply ignoring the problem until it blows up and might boost mid term turn out brilliant strategic thinking?
Here's a fun fact. Amy Coney Barrett wouldn't be on the Supreme Court had Ruth Bader Ginsberg retired when Obama was President and had the majority in both houses. That's a critical point and absolutely true. She was asked and refused. Had she retired, we might not be in this position. The SCOTUS might be 5-4, and the Republicans less sure of their position. So is Ruth Bader Ginsberg, defender of women's rights, her entire legacy crumbling before our eyes, faultless because she was RBG, or does she, like Clinton and Obama, deserve some of the blame?
