Susan Dodd is extraordinary, having devoted her career to safe practices for women after she herself was confronted with an unwanted pregnancy. It was poignant to see pics of her at the beginning of her career, and then now, as she is retired.

I say poignant because:

Then I think of that pic of the OK governor holding up the law he signed with such glee. It is an insult that the work of women like Susan Dodd can be halted by someone(s) who is such an intellectual inferior.

That’s what we have with this Roe v Wade situation.

Even before these draconian laws, there have been protesters and threats and murders. What I have never understood is why these extremely personal and difficult choices are the business of anyone in government or anyone who does not know any of the women whose very lives they're choosing to affect.
