His recommendation that the UN assemble an aggregate of willing nations to challenge the Russian blockade of southern Ukrainian Black Sea ports so food exports can resume is especially good as it avoids having NATO being involved.

There might be a slight hitch with that even though as willing nations' ships would have to pass through the Dardenelles and the Bosphorous straits to get to the Black Sea and both are controlled by Turkey.

Erdoğan of Turkey could be a problem as he sometimes sides with Russia.
