Sorry, Adam -- being 21 is not a good screen. NCjack May 2022 #2
I agree that the only time guns are necessary is if they're need by law enforcement or in the military Rhiannon12866 May 2022 #3

I prefer that people who want to experience the thrill of firing military weapons actually join the military. And continue that association through the reserves.

For the people that the military reject or terminate their service, I don't want those people possessing any firearms.

However, I think that licensed firing ranges should be able to rent firearms to anyone to enjoy the thrill of burning up their money by shooting lead at make-believe paper targets.

That's what the British do, law enforcement can call for guns if the situation calls for it. Or in times of war. And I used to shoot competetively in my youth - I was trained and shot at those "paper targets." But that was a long time ago, and I have no need for a gun now, and never had one at home. And one of the many hard and fast rules we learned early on was to never point your gun at anything living.

18 does seem awfully young, but we're not about to stop the cannon fodder pipeline from underfunded public school to National Guard and Military service.

Police need firearms. Sidearms. Secret Service. Security.

There's some bs meme going around on FB about how we "defend" jewelry stores and banks with guns, how we "defend" governors and presidents and celebrities with guns. But not schools. We hire trained professionals to provide security for the President and VP, but "we" do not "defend" celebrities. They hire security when they may not need it. Sports stars, too. Plaxico Burress and Jose Canseco leap to mind--idiot athletes with guns.

I never heard the phrase Gun Free Zone until the Tea Party open Carry nuts began marching around target and subway and Starbucks strapped for Call of Duty Military wet dream cosplay.

Fewer guns = fewer incidence of gun violence, gun suicide, gun homicide, gun accidental shooting.

We need a National "Lifle" Association to counter the fucking money laundering russian stooges in the NRA.
