(5,413 posts)we really don't hear enough about them. i always thought that the "rules" made sense, from a tree hugging standpoinr. especially the 500,000,000 population limit. actually, i always thought 500,000,000 was a little on the high side.
and when i say "always," i hope you know i mean since the 1980s when i became aware of their existence.
how could the guidestones possibly be put up by "conservatives?" they are in six languages. including swahili. any conservative would have insisted on "english only."
Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
Guide reproduction wisely improving fitness and diversity.
Unite humanity with a living new language.
Rule passion faith tradition and all things with tempered reason.
Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
Balance personal rights with social duties.
Prize truth beauty love seeking harmony with the infinite.
