During a Wednesday House session, members of the House Freedom Caucus - the extreme group that wants to take over the Party - got into a verbal altercation with regular Republicans who actually wanted to pass non-controversial legislation. The reason this sparring is important is because this is what is going to happen if Republicans take back the House in the midterms, ESPECIALLY if the Freedom Caucus grows their ranks. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses this.

Mike tries to be tough at times, but he really, really needs his seat. After losing 2 successful wives.
He should have hung on to his first one when he was a decent, respected Mayor of Dayton. His wife had her own agency. The second had money. She just refused to share it with Mike!

(206,016 posts)I looked him up. One of my longtime childhood friends now lives in Ohio so I looked to see who might represent her and it's definitely one of two Democrats. Good thing since I happen to remember that when we were kids, her parents were big fans of Eugene McCarthy.

(17,988 posts)She called to tell him she was all right. The Oregan Distrct was a rehabiitated area of down town Dayton. Restored old houses, restaurants. I have been there a few times but it has turned into a Honky Tonk row in my book.
I live in a small city north, off I 70, quiet and peaceful. We left Dayton long ago, but Nan Whaley restored downtown. The West side is being completely redone. Where the Wright Brothers bicycle shop was.
