Former Trump White House adviser Peter Navarro joins MSNBC’s Ari Melber for his first interview after he was served a criminal grand jury subpoena by DOJ prosecutors. Melber challenges Navarro’s claim that he cannot cooperate with the Jan. 6 probe because Donald Trump has not “waived” his “executive privilege,” asking Navarro “you do realize these investigators can hear you when you talk on TV?" 1. Tried to watch, but just can't stand hearing his attempts at manipulation

That man just doesn't get it that the steamroller method won't cut it on TV. Oh, and he thinks everybody else is as dumb as he is regarding thinking Trump has some magic privilege.

Looking forward to seeing this jerk arrested for failure to appear.

10. That's his shtick. Talk over whoever-it-is.

It’s like sparring. Keep punching. Keep jabbing. Doesn’t matter what the opponent does (or in this case says - or tries to say). This kind of jamming or verbal stuffing is the don’t-let-‘em-get-a-word-in-edgewise strategy. Literally to keep talking and don’t cede ground. Keep talking. Keep monopolizing the mic. Don’t let your opponent get a word in. YOU keep talking.

That was a useful thing to watch, just to observe the technique. The strategy.

The interviewer can keep talking, too. Go ahead and be “rude” if that’s what you wanna call it. Don’t be nice and give ground. YOU keep talking too. And raise your voice so YOU’RE the one who’s easier to hear. Don’t cede any ground on the “premise” that you said your bit and now he gets to say his bet. YOU say - “if you keep talking over me I’m gonna cut your mic. I asked you a question. You answer it. Don’t try to stuff me.”

You know his game. Let him know YOU aren’t fooled, that you know his game.

3. I think that's Ari's aim in having him on - and letting him spout off

His previous admissions on Ari's show led to a Congressional investigation. He actually had to be cut off today...

4. Wonder if we shouldn't get more dumbsters to go on Ari's show

Gym Jordan would be great. McCarthy would be a slam-dunk. McTurtle would mumble his normal plastitudes.

And he lets them speak out - which has not worked out well for them, especially Navarro. Gym Jordan might be dumb enough to go for it, though from what we've seen he appears to have suffered from severe memory lapses...

If they are well managed by their "friends" from overseas (or US owners) and they get closer to having to testify.

I've always liked the root of "testify" - to hold by the balls to force proof.

12. Judge Moss tells the lawyer-less Peter Navarro that (in a nutshell) his lawsuit makes no sense

A person who represents himself has a fool for a client. The petition filed by Navarro was so bad that it was funny. The judge read the petition and told Navarro that his petition is a piece of garbage and to refile something that makes sense. This two page ruling makes me smile
